My little house in the middle of glitter and singing birds

Hi..what are you all up to?

Last month, I joined 13 Arts Challenge and I had been so honored to win that monthly challenge.
You see, I rarely join challenges and if I do, I normally don't win. But I like Aida's challenge and I don't mind joining it whenever I possibly can.

Aida sent me this pretty paper pack and she invited me to GD for her using the theme for this month's challenge..

Rules of challenge #8:
1. Please create a project that contains the theme of a house.
2. Your work must contain also at least one recycled element, two types of media and a stamp or a transfer.
3. Publish your project at your blog and add link directly to the post using Inlinkz tool at the end of this post.

4. Please add link and info about our challenge, where your work is published.

5. You can enter with your project to maximum 2 other challenges and your work must be new, not published before our challenge has started.

6. The challenge ends 23.06.2013 at 23:59. Winners will be announced on the 27.06.2013.

When the challenge ends, our Design Team pick one best work from Poland and one best foreign work. Both will be awarded with sets of 13 arts papers and media from our shop. The winners will be invited to join us in one of our challenges as Guest Designers. Additionally we will feature few works with biggest number of points.

Here is what I made using 13Arts products

It all started as a plain paper mache house.

I tore the paper in little pieces with the help of my daughter. I decoupaged each paper using mode podge. I then thinned Golden White Gesso with water and white washed the whole house once it was done drying. I wanted to have the old marble effect.

I added embellishments using Zeus and Zoe kits items

I used a brick stencil and Golden Crackle paste for the paved way. Once dry I dabbed with chalk ink.

For the base of the house. I glued another 13Arts paper to a cardboard, adhered a very old doily. Sprayed with Pearl Sky Blue 13Arts Mist. White washed with diluted Golden gesso.
From there, I just gathered my trinkets to decorate the front of the house. I added glitter all over the place to finish the project.

Thank you Aida for the opportunity!!
